In this function, the speakers had highly accentuated the injustice done by the children and relatives of the elderly people leaving them to stay in old age home. A mother who borne her child for 10 months and 10 days, brought them to this world, nourished them for years with expecting nothing in return but unconditional love. However, unfortunate is sent to old age home as their children are reluctant to bear their expense.

Worldwide research analysis has been conducted so as to bringing back the culture where families lived together. Therefore, disquisition have been put forward by the Former Justice Azizul Haque, Jane Alam the Head Master of Noyapara High School, Divisional Head of CSERF Information Technology Shanan Siddiqui, Professor Harun Ul Islam of Noyapara University College, Executive member of CSERF Anisur Rahman, Research Fellow Shamima Akther and Cittagong’s Divisional co-ordinator Imran Hossain.

The speakers also acknowledged that the elderly people are not a burden to their families but are jewels and should forever be cherished. Parents have been requested to provide their children with appropriate education and ethics, to recognize the significance of parents and that they are indispensable.

The main aim of such meetings being conducted is to raise awareness regarding respecting the elders and never in their right conscience to send the aged members in the family to old age home. It is a matter of disgrace for our senior citizens to live in old age home when they should be looked after by their children in the same way as they had since they were infants.
